New Delhi: Punjabi farmers have been staging protests for ten days in response to a number of requests, one of which is a promise of buying crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Following the breakdown of the fourth round of negotiations with the government, they had organized the Delhi March scheduled for Wednesday, February 21. 

Nevertheless, organizations (Kisan Andolan) have delayed the planned Delhi march following the death of a farmer. Following their meeting in Chandigarh, United Kisan Morcha said that Friday, Black Day, will be observed nationwide. On February 26 there will be a tractor march, and on March 14 there will be a mahapanchayat in Delhi Ramlila Maidan. On Friday, a decision regarding the Delhi March will also be made.

New Delhi: Punjabi farmers have been staging 10-day protests to demand a number of things, among them the assurance that their crops will be purchased at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). They had organized for the Wednesday, February 21, Delhi March, following the collapse of the fourth round of negotiations with the administration.

The Delhi March plan, however, has been postponed by farmer organizations (Kisan Andolan) following the death of a farmer. United Kisan Morcha declared that Friday, Black Day, would be observed nationwide following their meeting in Chandigarh. On February 26 and March 14, respectively, there will be tractor marches and mahapanchayats in Delhi Ramlila Maidan. The decision about the Delhi March will also be made on Friday.

At the border between Shambhu and Khanauri on the tenth day of the this movement, everything is as it should be. they have announced that on February 23, they will commemorate Aakrosh Diwas in memory of farmer Shubhakaran. Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, has been called upon to resign by United Kisan Morcha at the same moment.

On Wednesday, there was a fight on the Khanauri border between farmers and police. The young Shubhakaran (21) had passed away at this period. On the other hand, the farmer’s cause of death is unclear. The postmortem report will reveal the cause of death, according to the police.

They have ceased conducting Shubhakaran’s post-mortem at this time. They urge that the post-mortem not be permitted unless the government declares monetary compensation. Leaders of the farming community have also insisted that Shubhakaran be declared a martyr.

Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), stated, “The United Kisan Morcha is holding a crucial meeting today. The topic of the demonstrations, incidents occurring on Punjab’s borders, and the MSP law will all be covered in this discussion.”

“The Punjab government should file a case under Section 302 against them… because of the way the Center invaded our area and vandalized our tractors and trucks,” farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher declared. There is proof that Punjab Our ‘langar’ was closed by the authorities.
